The N.C. Native American Youth Organization (NCNAYO) serves to unite the Indian Youth of North Carolina and assist them in becoming leaders of tomorrow.
NCNAYO placed emphasis on broadening the knowledge of Indian heritage and cultural enrichment, establishing self-help and self-development learning techniques, and acting as an advocate for Indian youth and youth rights.
- 25 to 50 participants in the Educational Talent Search program (ETS) serve as the advisory committee for planning ETS program activities and the statewide conference for American Indian Youth.
- NCNAYO jurisdiction includes the Indian youth population of North Carolina who are registered members of NCNAYO. NCNAYO represents and is ultimately responsible to this population.
