Re:                  Lowering of U.S. and North Carolina flags in honor of NC Commissioner of Insurance

 

 

Gov. Pat McCrory today ordered all North Carolina state flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of former North Carolina Insurance Commissioner John Ingram, who passed away January 6, 2013.  Flags will be flown at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset January 9, 2013 which is the day of the service. 

 

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on January 9, 2013 in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach.  Interment will be at the family plot at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro, North Carolina. 

 

All employees of the Department of Administration join Gov. McCrory in expressing heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of John Ingram, whose extraordinary contributions to the State of North Carolina will stand as a lasting to his long record of public service.
