MSC Box Mail - Mail going from one state agency to another state agency
when both are located in Wake County.
When mail is picked up in the morning, it will be delivered to
the receiving agency that afternoon.
When mail is picked up in the afternoon, it will be delivered to the receiving agency the next morning before 11:30 a.m.
Courier Mail - Mail addressed to or coming from state agencies located outside Wake County.
From MSC locations to Courier locations:
Mail will be processed and delivered the day after it is picked up or recieved.
Courier Location to MSC Location:
Next Day
From Courier location to Courier location:
Mail will be delivered the second day after pickup.

USPS - Incoming mail coming from outside state government going to state agencies located in Wake County.
All properly addressed mail is received from the USPS at the MSC by 7:30 a.m. and is processed and delivered by 11:30 a.m. the same day.
All improperly addressed mail and accountable items are received from USPS at the MSC by 11:00 a.m. and are processed and delivered by 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Interoffice Mail
From MSC locations to Courier locations:
Mail will be processed and delivered the day after it is picked up or recieved.
This service is available to all Mail Service Center Box holders in the Raleigh area only for a flat fee of $3.00 plus postage. There are NO weight or size restrictions. This represents savings of $1.90 per piece compared to the USPS fees for certified mail of $5.32 for a regular 1 once piece of mail piece.
