| Frequently Asked Questions
1. I’m waiting for a package that was sent by UPS. The UPS website shows it was signed for at the MSC. Where is it?
All packages requiring signature from the sender are signed for by MSC staff and are then processed within our own tracking system so we can identify who signed for the package at each building as well as the time and date it was signed for. Please call with your tracking number – we’ll be happy to track the package and fax you a copy of the signed delivery sheet. Call 919-733-2913 and ask for Accountable Mail or LeaAnne Harris.
Note: Do not send personal packages to your MSC address. Personal packages will be returned to the sender.
2. My bill for Courier Services was way out of line this month. Who can help me with this?
Call LeaAnne Harris at 919-733-2913. LeaAnne will research your charges and respond quickly. If you wish, e-mail her at leaanne.harris@doa.nc.gov or mschelp@doa.nc.gov
3. I have questions about how to do a large mailing.

1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777)
5. Does the Mail Service Center deliver mail on Saturdays?
No. The MSC works the same schedule as most other State agencies. Monday-Friday, and closed on state holidays.
6. Is it less expensive to send letters to state agencies via interoffice mail than sending it by the Postal Service?
Yes. The MSC charges 50 percent of the US Postal Service rate.
