Welcome to the License to Give Trust Fund Commission

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacted Senate Bill 852 [Session Law 2004-189], which established the North Carolina License To Give Trust Fund and a 15 member Commission.

Grants will be awarded based on their relevancy to the powers and duties outlined in NC General Statute §20-7.6 which says: “Awarding grants-in-aid to non-profit entities to conduct education and awareness activities on organ and tissue donation and advance care planning.” The purpose of the education and awareness activities on organ and tissue donation is to increase and/or improve organ, tissue and eye donation. The purpose of education and awareness on advance care planning is to encourage thoughtful end-of-life decisions including organ and tissue donation as a significant consideration in this process of advance care planning.

Explore this site to find the criteria and process to submit a grant proposal. Together we can make a difference for North Carolinians.

Sincerely,

Edward S. Jenest
Chair
