Accessing Non-Public Student Records (Home Schools)
Home Schools
The Division of Non-Public Education does not collect or maintain any student records—current or historical. If you are a home school student seeking school records, such as high school transcripts, diplomas, attendance records, standardized test scores, or report cards, you must contact the chief administrator of your home school directly. If you are unable to reach the chief administrator, you may not be able to obtain the records you need. However, if the homeschool was registered with the NC Division of Non-Public Education, you may request a Record of Registration for the homeschool from our agency.
Homeschool graduates who cannot provide proof of graduation through their homeschool administrator may need to explore options for earning and receiving a Certificate of High School Equivalency or a similarly titled credential.
