NC. Commission Of Indian Affairs Quarterly Commission Meeting And Work Session

As per NCGS 153B-408, the NC Commission of Indian Affairs shall meet quarterly. Therefore, the next meeting of the Commission will be held June 2-3 and will be hosted by Campbell University, at Buies Creek, North Carolina, Marshbanks Hall, located at 234 Day Dorm Road. The meeting will start at 10:00 Thursday, June 2nd and end on Friday, June 3rd at 3:00 pm.   

Supporting Undergraduate Native Students (SUNS) Program - Annual Academic Success Workshop

May 19, 2022, 12pm - 2pm

This annual workshop is a required grant activity for participants of the Supporting Undergraduate Native Students (SUNS) Program.  This event will provide program participants with an opportunity to learn about updates and changes to the SUNS Program for the next academic year.  Participants will also be able to ask questions and provide suggestions on additional services they would like the SUNS Program to provide in the future.  Participants will also be recognized during the workshop for successfully graduating from a community college or university.  

Governor Cooper Proclaims Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

Governor Roy Cooper declared May 5 as a Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, raising awareness on the disproportionate rate of American Indian and Alaska Native women who have disappeared from their homes and lost their lives due to acts of violence.
