The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina cordially invites you to their Federal Recognition Celebration on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Lumbee citizens, community, neighbors, and supporters are invited and encouraged to join this grand celebration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
The celebration will run all day from 9 am until 9 pm. Attendees will enjoy food, great fellowship, gospel singing, a mini-powwow, guest speakers, light show and more! Activities will be held in the quad area of UNC Pembroke between Old Main and the Mary Livermore Library.
The Commission of Indian Affairs, in partnership with UNC Pembroke and Chancellor Cummings, are proud to host this special day.
