As we continue to honor the life of NC native George Floyd, Governor Roy Cooper is extending the half-staff notice. Beginning today, June 6, 2020, Governor Cooper ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be lowered to half-staff until sunset on Sunday, June 7, 2020 in honor of Private First Class Ethan M. Moores who passed away on Wednesday, May 27, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Stationed at US Marine Corps Camp Lejeune, PFC Moores was born in Machias, Maine. Services for PFC Moores were held in Lubec, Maine, where he received full military honors.
