In commemoration of “Old Glory,” Governor Josh Stein has declared June 14, 2026, as Flag Day in North Carolina. This national day of observance recognizes the adoption of the flag of the United States by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.

In tribute to the sacrifices of our armed services personnel, Governor Josh Stein has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon on Monday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day. 

From sunrise Saturday, May 23 until sunset Sunday, May 24
